REPUBLIC MORTGAGE INSURANCE COMPANY (RMIC), provider of private mortgage insurance based in Winston-Salem, 1995 to 2019.

  • Facilities Services Manager – (October 1999 to August 2019): The main responsibilities include: Managing corporate physical facilities, space planning and design, file management, security systems and central services to support high levels of productivity throughout the corporate and zone offices. Responsible for hiring, training, professional development, performance reviews, and associate development planning.
  • Manage/Coordinate office relocations, renovations, and expansion projects. This includes the review and approval of construction documents, electrical plans, cabling (phone and data) documents, space planning, and furniture layouts.  Coordination involving multiple departments.  Responsible for and daily use of AutoCAD for design of all space planning and design projects companywide.
  • Assist in the review and compliance of leases for zone offices. Responsible for all zone office lease payments and sublease payments within the company valuing at over $300,000 monthly.
  • Assist with budget development for the department that affects the entire company due to the nature of the budget items.
  • Develop specifications for products and services that include office equipment, furniture, construction, and off-site storage companywide as well as security, janitorial, landscaping, grounds maintenance, and building maintenance services for the corporate office.
  • Control the purchase of goods and services valued at over $4 + million annually, securing and evaluating vendor proposals, submitting purchase orders, and coordinating and overseeing installation activities and daily implementation of services.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable pricing by appropriately aligning business requirements with specific products and services.
  • Work in conjunction with the Telecommunications Group and the IT Department for the installation of cabling for placement of IT and telecom equipment and all move management.
  • Assisted with the development of fixed asset procedures utilized companywide. Responsible for facility asset purchases, transfers and disposals.
  • Oversees mail room personnel and functions.
  • Responsible for all security management within the Home and Zone Offices.
  • Disaster Recovery Team Leader and Business Recovery Team Leader – Responsible for development, maintenance, and implementation within the group.


  • Coordinated and managed two (2) main Headquarters office relocations (125,000-sq. ft.), which employed over 350 people with one being facilitated over a 10 week period to avoid work interruption.
  • Project Manager of multiple in-house relocations with up to 75 people from floor to floor with limited time constraints.
  • Assisted the Telecommunications Group with the initial setup of the corporate phone system.
  • Established the Corporate guidelines for File Management Storage for over 6 million files. This included training for all File Management Clerks within Corporate and Zone Offices.
  • Developed procedures and budgeting information for opening, closing, relocations, and renovations for the Zone Offices.
  • Developed a project plan to consolidate associates within second Headquarters building into main Headquarters building. Presented proposal to all Group Managers with a favorable outcome.
  • Re-evaluated the current storage and product installation costs. Successfully relocated all storage and changed installation service for a cost savings of approximately $50,000 annually.
  • Due to organizational downsizing, coordinated and managed the consolidation and relocation of 200+ associates.
  • Have trained on and am proficient with AutoCAD. Frequent use of the software has helped develop the knowledge to eliminate outsourcing for necessary projects.  This has generated a cost savings of approximately $100,000 annually.

 Purchasing Specialist – (October, 1995 to February, 1999): Responsibilities included:

  • Solely responsible for the purchase and installation of all corporate and zone office equipment in adherence with the standardization of all equipment. Equipment included: furniture, fax machines, copier machines and mail equipment. 
  • AMEX Corporate Card Administrator for 700+ employees
  • Trained all new employees within the department.
  • Maintained an updated list of maintenance agreements and vendor contacts.
  • Performed various administrative and communication duties to include screening calls, maintaining records and creating reports.
